Noticed my wife’s 500L seems to be collecting water in the spare wheel well. Before I spend ages trying to trace the leak is there any common leak points on the 500L model?

When we got ours in 2016 we also had a bit of mould behind the passenger seats hence reduced the price.

Don't know if leaks are common but if you do find the cause that might be helpful in my case as well :)

I think I’ve found and solved the problem.

Leak appeared to be coming in on the rear passenger side of the boot. I could see from the paperwork with our car there was a replacement rear light, so I popped the rear light out to check if it had the seal present & working.

It was!

However underneath the light there was a curved shaped piece of foam that appeared to seal the area above a vent in the body (behind the corner of the bumper.

This seal was just loose and not in the correct position, so it looks like water was getting in via the vent. I popped it back in to place, put light and everything back in place. A good squirt with the hose and no sign of any water.

Fingers crossed!
