First of all, TomTom have a warning that:
Quote Quote:
Important: If you have a Mito or 500L, 500L Trekking, 500L Living, please make sure that you have the correct software version that allows you to update your map (version 11.815.xxxxx or higher). To check the version on your device go to the Navigation Main Menu → Settings → Me and My Navigation → About My Navigation.
So this needs to be at-least version 11.815.xxxxx or higher! They mention that the dealership could solve this under warranty, maybe one of our later firmware's (CO version) may be able to help you out?

Maybe the usb drive with the tomtom home software is corrupted?

Follow these steps from TomTom:
Quote Quote:
To prepare a USB device, do the following:

Make sure that the map you want to update is the currently selected and active map in your navigation system.

If your navigation system has more than one map and you want to update a map that is not currently active, first make the other map active. To do this, go to the Settings menu and select Switch Map.

Go to the Settings menu and select Navigation Updates.

You are asked if you want to prepare a USB device in order to download updates.

Select Yes.

Insert your USB device.

Note: If the system continues to prompt you to insert your USB device, make sure that your USB device meets the above requirements, then try again.

If you connect more than one USB device, the system asks you to remove devices so that only the device you want to prepare is connected.

If there is not enough free space on the USB device, the system asks you to use a different USB device.
If you connect a USB device that contains files, the system warns you that the files on the USB device may be deleted.

The system starts to prepare the USB device.

When the USB device is ready, the message below is shown.

Remove the USB device and connect it to your computer. You can now download the new map to your USB device. [ show me how... ]
If TomTom HOME does not recognise the USB device, try the above steps again.
Try to get a new usb and format/prepare it for TomTom Home again with the maps. I myself do not have the nav model, so I would not know the correct steps but I think the maps can be prepared via the TomTom Home software or there could be an option on the nav?

It has a uconnect 5 inch unit (it should be in a very old version, probably 2014).
Do you think I can install any firmware with CO (Continental) or are they Fiat exclusive?
If so, can I directly install the last version or do I have to update first with some older updates?
Thank you.
I am not sure, if you want to try go ahead, I think it won't work because the installer detects if it is a Fiat model. If the installer does not detect the hardware configuration, then it would probably not install anything. Just ensure that you don't have ROW or some other regional model out of Europe.

Sorry Jack, I was going to modify the whole Fiat OS to get the barebones Win CE Embedded system (or Windows Automotive, some sort of embedded os) and create an custom one.

Problems arose because each partition is firmware signature signed, so modifying the partitions will not flash as the system checks the integrity of the files.

Maybe you could try flashing the VP2 firmware if it is compatible it should go through, but I do not really think Fiat would have added support for the Peugeot models. If you could find an Peugeot firmware, we can replace the splash screen partition with the Fiat one, assuming, the signature used for the Peugeot firmware matches the Fiat digital signature.

Thanks for your help.

The problem is that I can't enter de navigation options or settings I can't confirm the version

When I press the "NAV" button, it's stays "loading" and don't inicialize.

I import the car from Germany to Portugal, dont know if it worked before.

Maybe I have to go to FIAT dealership to see what they say

Ah.

Before you go to the dealership (or if you are out of warranty), try the latest firmware version from here the '13.00.57.05 CO' version. It might be able to fix up the apps partition, but I do not know if the apps partition contains the relevant TomTom software, but it might

If it does fails to install with an red X upon checking the USB (like a couple of people in this thread), then this firmware does not support your model as it contains preloaded apps that require an specialised firmware (which I do not yet know how to get).

If you are in warranty, then go to the dealership, they'll probably also update the software as well.
