Have had 2014 500l mpw pop for 3 yrs bought from dealership. had my first puncture and managed to "find" the spare tyre under the boot but there was no jack or any other tools which i had assumed to be within the rim of the spare. My questions are : should a jacking kit be provided as standard with this model ? and is there a special/hidden place for its location, given that a tyre wrench is needed to release the spare?

There definitely should be a toolbox within the rim, in the boot of the car. Did you buy it from the dealer brand new ?
