General Apple CarPlay

Hi, my Fiat 500 doesn't have the apple car play button but has the little windows symbol instead. Can I still set up Apple CarPlay? Do you think it might work?

No, the current UConnect systems do not support Apple CarPlay. FCA has announced for 2017 a new UConnect with a 8.4" screen which will support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, but IMO it is not clear yet whether/when the 500L will get that system.

Was wondering this myself can I install Onstar I dislike U Connect big time. Only thing I miss about my GM Car is Onstar I know it would void my warranty but has anyone ever done this?:bang:

no, UConnect is not an open system like a PC or tablet where you can install any other operating system.
