Please forgive me if this has been covered already but just come home after buying a 500l trekking and nearly hit my van as the beep is very quiet.
My question is can it be made louder?

No, you can't. But you might ask your dealer whether something is wrong, on my car the beep is quite loud. However the car doesnt seem to adapt the beep volume to the volume setting of the radio ....

Thanks will give that a try, I'm used to my berlingo van which compared to the 500 is deafening lol and also dims the radio while reversing .

You can adjust the volume of the beep through the set menu beside headlamp level buttons under "buzzer volume"

Correct, there is a global volume setting which also affects the reverse beeper.... good to know )))
