Can anyone tell me what tyres are on the 500L? We're thinking of putting some CrossClimates on as we love having all-season M&S tyres on the Panda Trekking, but interested to know if the factory ones are any good.

I have come across a few reviews that blame the tyres for a wooly feel and noise when driving.

Ta muchly. :)

205/55/R16 if you have the 16" wheels, and 225/45/R17 for the 17" wheels. The brand is Goodyear.

If you are after a quiet ride then I would suggest the CrossClimate, Goodyear Efficient Grip or Dunlop Sport BluResponse tyres. All of these tyres are rated at 68db which is pretty quiet. If you would like the best all weather grip and low noise, then you should go for the CrossClimate tyres for sure.

I'm also replacing all of the tyres on my 500L Lounge. My car arrived with a slow puncture on one of the tyres, and I would rather replace all of them to ensure even wear.

As for the ride being "wooly", it's no worse than any other car of the same type. I am very happy with the ride and noise.

Let me know which tyres you go with :)

Thanks Ben, I know Fiat usually use Continentals or Goodyears, so appreciate the confirmation. (y)

I'm very keen on the CrossClimates, but the 2nd gen Goodyear Vector All-Seasons look promising too. One review site says the former is best for the southern half of the UK as we get less snow and the dry grip is marginally better. Think they are pretty similar in most respects though.

Which tyres have you chosen for yours?

Still undecided - probably CrossClimate :)

I had quotes of €140 per tyre Goodyear (as factory fitted) and €145 for the Michelin equivalent,...But when time come to change will take Evergreens at €80, I have fitted Evergreens to many company vehicles, from Audi A6 to Mercedes and Skodas, without any complaints regarding noise or handling.
