Really love the colour and the wheels, very smart. I bet you were excited picking it up. Was the handover good? Did you get any freebies? (I love the gifts) xx

This is my biggest issue with the car being sluggish on steep hills but then as I have mentioned in posts elsewhere it's not really the greatest in the aerodynamics department.

Shame the colour does not show properly as it looks more blue to me so will be interesting to see it maybe in a different light.

Enjoy

I've been trying to adjust my camera settings to get a more faithful representation of the colour, but am not succeeding. A bit of googling has revealed that cameras find turquoise difficult to capture - they can't see the right wavelength. Same thing often happens with purple apparently.

I've attached a photo of a 500L (possibly at the Geneva Motor Show) where the green is more visible under the strong lighting. It still doesn't show how vibrant the colour is though, in my opinion.

Glad the handover went well. The dealership seemed to do a generally good job keeping you updated & getting it ready fairly quickly, which is always good to see.

I do like the colour. There's so many red 500Ls around here, and I don't think it necessarily shows off the 500L as well as it could - your colour definitely reflects its quirky character and the alloys go really well with the black & chrome rubbing strips and the black around the windows - undoubtedly a very good decision for £50!

I have to say I prefer the rather random older style interior fabrics, but the black/grey interior on yours does go better with the exterior paint colour than the old suede finish would've. I can understand Fiat toning down the interior a bit, as the original fabrics & colours were a bit 'out there' for some people I'd imagine - especially the Easy & Lounge trims!

Hope it serves you well :)

The colour is definitely different lol and if you could see what it really looks like in the flesh you would think so even more. :D

I intended for the glossy black and silver of the wheels to complement the black and chrome elsewhere on the car and it seems to have worked.

I think I would have liked the suede dash and door panels, it's a shame those are gone. But I really do like the more mature upholstery on the seats. My hubby never liked the handwriting on the previous trim.

It was an exciting morning, with the exception of having a cranky toddler wanting to run around the showroom and cause chaos. :D It was lovely turning into the dealership and seeing it there waiting for us. We didn't get any freebies, other than the mats that had already been promised to us but I'm not too bothered about that. Maybe next time lol.

I really want to go somewhere in it, but have to work today and tomorrow. Guess it will get its first proper test on the school run Monday morning lol.

Been trying to find something with a similar colour online, this Citroen Cactus is a pretty close example.

Interestingly, in other photos this car also looks just blue.

Pkeased to hear it all went well!

As everyone else has said, the colour looks great on the 500L. Looks really nice.

I guess the engine will take a while to get used to, but it will loosen up a bit when it gets some miles on the clock. I am assuming it is like all the other FIRE engines in that it likes to be worked hard every now and then!

Oh I love it! Absolutely worth the wait! The turquoise is fantastic. If only I could have found that colour when I was looking. The space is amazing isn't it. I have a 3 year old so really appreciate it. Have a fab time driving :)

It did sound a little throaty when pushed, so hopefully it's got some spirit in there somewhere lol. :D

The turquoise was only released late last year. It was a bit of a gamble going for a colour we'd never seen in the flesh, but it's even better than we expected.

We have a 5 year old and a 22 month old and it was a bit of a squeeze with the Panda packing all their paraphernalia in. This is pure luxury lol. :D

Hope yours brings you much enjoyment too! :)

The colour is stunning. You won't loose it in a car park either with it being bright and tall. I really love mine. My iPad won't let me upload a photo but mine is white with a black roof and dark grey alloys. I looked on the website and I'm not sure you can get that combination anymore but I could be wrong. Keep us updated with how you get on with you car :)

Last photo for this thread and then I will make a new one in Members Motors when I've got some more.

Managed to Photoshop it for a better representation of the colour. :)
