I love being able to find our car in a car park without even trying lol. The Panda stands out nicely, but our old yellow VW Lupo did so even more! I also read that statistically, brighter cars are less likely to be in accidents because they're more visible - though we joke sometimes that our Panda has an invisibility cloak because the odd numpty still seems not to see us.

I see the Grande Ellade is due to dock within the next half an hour. Hopefully your little Panda is on it!

I saw the Grande Ellade this morning on the way to work and also on the way back. It's a big ship!!! I do hope my car is on it

Wish mine was but don't think it's likely. Would love to call the dealer and ask, but must resist lol. How awesome that you get to see the ships come in, you should grab a pair of binoculars and see if you can spot your car lol. If you see a bright blue 500L with an electric sunroof and diamond-cut wheels, do let me know!

I think the Ellade can transport 4500 cars, so not surprised it's a biggie!

4500 cars is huge!! I have to say that there are loads of Fiats there. It looks like they are using the overspill area too. Lots of 500x down there and the Jeep Renegade too. I will definitely keep an eye out for your car lol. I will have to keep my eyes on the motorway though

There are always loads of transporters on the M5 so I will check the ones I see. There were three today with new Renaults on.

Yay! I think ours is on the next ship coming in, it's supposed to dock at 8pm tomorrow. Not expecting anything to happen over Easter, so hopefully it will go out on the transporter next week and be ready to collect from the dealer the week after. That hopefully means we'll have a few days to use it before my eldest goes back to school on the 11th.

I saw that one of the ships was going to Southampton and the other, the one behind, going to Portbury. I hope yours is on that one.

I have to get the paperwork sorted tomorrow if possible, otherwise it'll delay registering the car, which will mean it won't be ready for thesecond week of the Easter holidays. I'm hoping the dealer can get it done tomorrow

We did the paperwork back on Monday. The offer we had expires at the end of March, so they wanted to make sure it was all done by then. Seemed a bit strange as the original lead-time was up to 16 weeks which would have been May/June, but oh well.

Annoyingly, it means the vehicle will probably be taxed this month even though we won't have it, so we'll only get 11 months before needing to buy again.

Do let me know how soon your car gets from Portbury to dealer (if they tell you). Hopefully customs won't hang on to it for too long.

Paperwork done, just the usual stuff to sign when I pick it up. All being well we are picking it up on Wednesday 6 April

Something nice to return to after your holiday. Has yours been assigned a reg yet? Ours has apparently.

Delightful weather in the Bristol channel this evening. My boat better not sink!

It's going to be assigned this week. I had to sign something from the DVLA which was for the registration document. The dealer is going to email me whilst I'm away the registration number, I just hope it's not something rude!!!

I live in a little village called Failand and it's at the top of a hill. We get the wind hitting us directly from up the Bristol Channel. It's been a rough old day and is set to get worse. Good news though the Grande Mediterraneo is set to arrive at Portbury at 21.28

Well the Mediterraneo appears to have arrived safely. Looks like a bit of a squeeze getting into the dock there lol!

Now I just have to wait until Tuesday for some news.....

Happy Easter, I'll keep an eye on the Panda section to see pics of yours when it arrives.

Just spoke to dealer. He says it's landed in the UK, but is still saying status 35 which seems odd, but he's certain it's in Portbury. He's expecting it to move to status 50 by the end of the week. Doesn't look like we're going to get it before school starts on the 11th.

These last few weeks are absolutely crawling lol.

It will come around quick enough. The trick is NOT to think about which I gather from the posts is gonna be hard for you lol.


Hopefully when the dealer gets it the guys in PDI pull their fingers out and go over it and then you go back over it with a fine tooth comb

Going to try and forget about it for a few days at least. Got a busy week of activities with the kids and some work to catch up on to take my mind off it. The last 8 weeks has gone pretty quickly really, so surely another 2 will be nothing lol.

Had contact from the dealer today telling me my car had arrived at the dealer. It's all registered and I asked if Wednesday will still be possible to pick it up. Fingers crossed x

No news here. Our salesman goes on holiday on Monday. He's told us he'll be checking into work periodically to see if there any any status updates for his customers.

Knowing we should have it by the week after next is so exciting though!

Good news! Have you had the log book/V5C yet? I'm impressed with the sound of your dealer - regular phone updates and they haven't appeared to register the car weeks in advance like many dealers do. Top marks!

I reckoned 2 weeks ago that it'd be with you between 2-3 weeks & a month - I've impressed myself!
