Hi - I passed my test just last week, and picked up my Fiat 500 L yesterday (2012 model). I'm completely new to driving and don't know much about cars!

What is the quickest way to restart after stalling? I've stalled twice so far, but found it hard to restart the engine - it only started when I turned everything off, into neutral, and turned the key again. I'm sure there must be a quicker way? (I learned in a Suzuki swift, and if I stalled in that I just pressed the start button).

Ps - I don't really understand how start/stop works, so it's probably related to that?

try and just depress the clutch..,

see IF that restarts the engine..,

If you have stop start active simply dip the clutch.

NO..!! ,
other wise you may as well use the key..

once stalled, just depress the clutch to the floor engine should re-start..,

go and try in an empty carpark..,

• Handbrake on
• Gear lever in neutral
• Turn key back to OFF
• Turn key to start.

Don't pick up bad habits and reliance on
newer car systems/features so early on!!!
