I'm currently hiring a 500L 1.3 Multijet Trekking. However I cannot see how to activate the auto wipers, the auto lights are straight forward. Any help would be appreciated.

Auto wipers on mine is the same as intermittent setting (1st twist of wiper control) where the frequency of wipes relates to the amount of water on the screen - unless you get tired of waiting like I usually do and over ride it with a single sweep!

Ahh, I see, they work similar to the Ford system then. On our car which is a C3 Picasso, you do a single swipe by pressing the wiper stalk down and then it rests back at '0' but the message 'auto wipers activated' comes on. The wipers then do intermittent, continuous or rapid depending on the weather and they are fantastic.

If it rains later in the 500L, I'll test them out, thanks for you help.

And don't forget to turn them off when driving through a 'hand wash' car wash!

If you have them on the setting for automatic after the initial manual wipe it will then be automatic, you can adjust the sensor of the wipers in the settings as well to make it longer or shorter
