Hope you can help. When I looked at the Fiat 500l I remember seeing a 12v outlet in the boot but when I got my car it was not there?

There is one in my Lounge , although I have heard that it is not on some of the newer ones
Looks like Fiat are making cost savings like dropping rear discs

I thought I was going crazy! I asked the dealer when I saw it in the longe and he said it would be the same, so off I went and bought a large cool box for the boot only to discover it doesn't have one. That was a waste of £40. I wonder if one can be fitted?

Go back to the dealer and say "remember you said there would be a 12V outlet in the boot?" and when they say yes, ask where it is. They should fit one for you, A verbal agreement is binding whatever they say, and any decent dealer will sort it out, rather than have an unhappy customer.

When did you buy your car?

These changes were done a year ago when they closed the factory down and decided to change the specs of the models. I only know this as at the time of ordering my car it would have been on there but when it arrived this was one of the things taken away.

I picked up my car last Friday and went back on Saturday to the service department. They were scratching their heads ans couldn't understand why there was a blanking plate. i went through the brochure and said it should have read rear 12v optional or standard on xyz model.

I know it is only a small detail but I wanted a 500l Lounge with sat nav and a few other extras, thinking it would be a 12 week wait I was only enquiring, when the dealer said we have one on the way to the uk now, it will be here in 2 weeks. So I settled for the pop star with no extras. Well I wish I had waited. not only was it 5 weeks but everything is different. the lumbar support on the popstar is really hard and you cant adjust it. and then there is this with the 12v point. The guy said if the wiring is there they can fit it, if not they cant do anything about it. :(

Mine does not have a blanking plate where the 12v should have been. Looking at the configurator there is no mention of having a 12v as an option or it being standard.
Not sure why you should have a blanking plate or even why the service department are scratching heads.
They no longer come with the 12v and they should know this.
Only thing is maybe it's an older version but on a new plate perhaps?

I am pretty sure on the "newer" models they also changed the display, as the car I drove before I purchased one had a different display unit to what I have now.
