Hi,
I have a 500L Lounge 2013.
The LED numbers on the two Air Con Knobs flash on and off.
The right on and the left off and vice versa ad infinitum.
I have no idea why it is doing this - any ideas?

Regards

I think it means that You have turned off the aircon compressor and has put the temp at lower temp than outside. By flashing the system is telling You, that it's not capable of giving You the desired temp because the compressor is off.

Edit: Look at page 58 in the manual it says:
With compressor off:
❒ if the outside temperature is higher than the set
one, the climate control system will not be able
to satisfy the request. The temperature values will
then flash on the display for a few seconds to
indicate this;

Hmmm. Thanks for the reply.
I received the car in December and it has always done this. I have not switched off the compressor as I wouldn't know how. I assume by pressing the AC switch which we hadn't been using at that time of year and not even now to be fair.
I suppose if there was a fault with the compressor it would do the same?
Cheers

Thanks Santa.
I have read the manual.
To confirm what i think is the issue.
The temperature dial readings flash continuously from the time you are in the car, no matter how long, until you get out.
Pressing the buttons in any sequence or in any manner does not stop the flashing.
Reading the manual, does seem to suggest that flashing only occurs a set number of times (e.g. 7 times) when the system is trying to indicate something.

Just be sure:
It still flashes, even if You turn on the A/C (by pressing the A/C button - there should be a small light on button itself)?
If it does, I suspect there's a fault in the system.
Sorry for asking but English isn't my main language, so I'm just trying to be sure I understand what You're saying :)

No Problem, your English is great.
Yes, even with the AC set to ON - they still flash.

okay - garage had it - couldn't figure it out - ordered a new AC control unit - put it in and fault still there - a constant flashing from side to side of the temperature settings on the dials - now they have a Fiat field mechanic going to look at it :-(
