Hi. I have just got a 500L Lounge 1.6 mjet and it has got the City Brake system.
Does anyone know how you can control if the system works properly? It is of course turned on but I have not been able to check its effect.
Good ideas are welcome.

You can turn the system on and off but it will always revert back to being on when the car is restarted. The only way that you could really check its effect is on a quiet road with a friend driving in front at a lower speed than you so in effect you would be going to hit it going faster than them. City Brake Control functions only between 5km/h and 30km/h, so will not assist in accidents at ‘highway’ speeds.
