2014 500L 1.6diesel 105ps engine EGR question

Guys, does anyone know if the 1.6 diesel engine 105bhp in the 500L has an egr valve, and if so has anyone yet blanked this off.
I have at the moment an Astra diesel and I did this to stop all the gunk and gases going into the manifold and what a huge difference to the running of the car plus better mpg.

Seems the 500L 1.6 has an EGR valve:

Deactivating it would increase the NOx emissions, and would not be legal at least here where I live :-)

And potentially cause warranty issues......

Unhappy Re: 2014 500L 1.6diesel 105ps engine EGR question

What I was thinking was blanking the egr valve off with a proper blanking plate, then getting an ecu remap done plus egr delete done too.I have this done on my present diesel Astra so I would like to do this to my new Fiat 500L.
The benefits of this are for very smooth and responsive drive, improved mpg and more power. My car has been done for about 3 years now and it seems to drive better and better, also I am getting an extra 5-10mpg too.
I have used the same company on my last 3 vehicles now and I can not fault them.I would like to get my new car done as to stop all the exhaust gases and carbon build up going into the intake manifold which eventually causes problems with the egr valve.
Only thing I have to take into account is the Fiat warranty...
