Fuel Filler Stuck

I went to the petrol station to refuel. I could not insert the nozzle into the top of the filler. The metal cover seems "locked" in place.

Any suggestions?

It is just a simple flap.

Give the nozzle a bit harder shove perhaps?

Re: Fuel Filler Stuck

I've been quite firm - I dont want to break anything.

Is it linked to central locking ?

Re: Fuel Filler Stuck

Just been "very" firm with a screw driver - it gave way eventually.

Glad I didnt go in to Dealer with it. Wonder how it got stuck.

Apologies if you mean the outer flap.

Yes it is locked with the central, locking.

The flap that dislodges when you insert the filler nozzle into the filler is not, it simply opens when you insert the filler nozzle.
