Fiat currently have an offer on some (petrol) Fiat 500L Models where they will pay £1400 deposit for you, and you only pay 2% APR

in the example they use on the website a £15,000 car becomes £13,600 with fiat's contribution you pay £219 a month for 48 months with out having to pay anything for the first 3 months and no a £4700 final payment
after 48 months you've paid back £14,399 which means out of the deal fiat only makes £739 in 4 years of finance

having perused one of these things a year ago im inclined to recite what i often say
keep to what you know
and these clearly arent the future for fiat

There's an old saying in the motor trade; "Your first loss is your best loss"

Fiat have clearly got these petrol models stuck up their jacksy and this is a clever way of writing them off their books, I'm sure the bean-counters will still show a profit somewhere down the line.

2% isn't a bad return in some parts of the financial world.

Odds on there won't be a petrol option in the future!

We got our 1.4 petrol Pop Star on a similarly good deal in September last year and have never looked back it was a very good purchase.

I would suggest anybody thinking about an L would do well to consider the offer.

Of course, that's why "I" commented :).

The thing is that what somebody would see as ugly others will not.

Maybe if you had said something like 'perhaps one of the reasons they may not be selling is because some people think they are ugly'

I kinda think more and more of them appearing on the roads means loads of people don't agree that they are ugly at all.:)

For some people looks are secondary, for others what a car looks like is all that matters to them. And what's fashionable of course, in other words, that lots of other people have them too so they can feel part of the pack, and still pretend to be individuals of course lol.

The multipla was a horrible looking car when it came out in 1999 but it was well designed and quirky and people who drove it fell in love with it. Sadly though it's looks where the thing that lead to poor sales and it's ultimate demise, despite the facelift it got later on.

The 500L is better looking than that multipla but it lacks the charm and quirkiness, it's not a pretty car but it's no worse than some of the others on the road. Time will tell if it has longevity but at the moment I think sales have been weak in the uk, and these cheap finance deals are a sign of that
