Technical Front spoiler trim

Hi all,


I hit a deep puddle at speed last night and it looks like it has broken off a small section of the vertical plastic lip underneath the front chin bumper?

Any ideas if this piece is part of the bumper as a whole or if it is a replaceable piece of trim itself?

We didn't see the puddle as it was dark and hidden behind a small bump in the road.

Just had a look under ours and it is almost certainly a separate part. I could clearly see screw fastenings where it fastens to the lower edge of the bumper.

Of course whether it is supplied by FIAT as a separate part is another question. I would however expect such a part which is so potentially vulnerable to damage (as you have found!) to be readily available from a dealer as a stand alone item.

Let us know how you get on if you decide to replace it.

Having had a look at other 500Ls online etc it looks like the trim is actually in three separate parts. Two small sections left and right and a longer central part. I'm wondering if this is what I think is the issue?

Great to know its separate though, so thank you for looking! My partner is out with the car so I can't check closer right now.
