Ok, bout to head out in the morning with severe weather chasing us.
Either we time it right and this mighty 500L can outrun the storm thats coming up from the south, we are heading north...and then east, hopefully before the 6" of snow with ice storm hits....

OR

We get to find out how a 500L handles this stuff with stock all seasons that come with the car. Contra Pro's or something like that.

I will eventually put on Extreme Contacts but my weather predicting skills aren't all that great....

SO HOW do these 500L beasts handle in the ice and snow....???
Yes of course I'm going to find out, but knowlege is power.....and also can keep ya safer.... :)

Well got to find out first hand.

Went as planned, outran the storm going north, dry roads til we went east. After about an hour running east, and the car performed great....we then got broadsided by this gnarly winter storm.

Got stopped by two accidents on the first leg of this journey, lots of people all over the place, but we held our own just fine. Tires were "ok"... Got the job done, bit I will replace them with better ones when these are done. Seemed to hit the wall with them a few times....while others were going on by just fine. So I just backed it down a little. But when the temps went up a little, no snow or ice, just some slush and lots of rain, they were fine. Stopped at a few rest stops along the way where there was snow and ice and it was able to get a grip...

All in all, performed fine. Got the job done. Next leg tomorrow when the rest of the storm is supposed to nail us. Not worried, I am ONE with this car now, we will be fine :)
