The 500L certainly has that feature on certain models (possibly all that have fog lights).
Yep, it'll be the cornering lights. Should come on when cornering or turning the wheels when stationary.
If you don't want them on, you can disable them in the menu by using the buttons below the stereo and scrolling through till you find 'Cornering Lights' and select 'Off'.

Not always an option, isn't on my Bravo.

Thanks for locating that vid. I knew I'd seen a video somewhere that showed them working but couldn't recall where it was.
don't feel too bad ..
a FF'er last year got pulled by the police for it.., they took some convincing it wasn't a fault,

Why do people start messing about with their cars before they even know how they are supposed to work properly - I just don't get this one?
You mean, working correctly and as spec?
I knew more about my 500 than the salesman when I went to pick it up
In fact before I ordered the car in the first place It pays to do your research
If that means lights coming on and off,then having wife complain about it on top of everything else, then yes!
In addition the car is the popstar launch edition was familiar with all the extras that it had fitted...ones even the salesman didn't know about but was unaware of this particular feature. Normally I know my cars inside out as now on number 14 from the fiat, lancia, alfa stable since 1998, perhaps more importantly saved £ 5k over list for 5 month old car.

Just tell her all the top marques have it, Mercs, Beemers and the like so it denotes the car as a prestige model :thumbup: That should sort it.
I was always suspicious of cornering lights as a gimmick but TBH as they only work at a standstill or low speed I find them quite good in confined spaces, however as they are still relatively uncommon I'm not sure how much they could confuse other road users?
Hence me saying 'buttons below the stereo', which is specific to the 500L - the Bravo's menu buttons aren't below the stereo as far as I know?
I brought the 500L MPW home from work the other night, so was playing with the menu.

To be fair to the OP lot's of folk buy and operate stuff without reading the user manual from end to end.
This applies as much to TV's, computers as it does to cars.
Personally I always try to locate an electronic version of a manual and familiarise myself with a vehicle before I even pick it up but not every body may realise they can do this.

Me too and they are easy to find for Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Lancia
