do not be concerned. Like first cars for USA gone long before problems occur.
problems with Serbian workers on 500L car was just few scratches on doors, newspaper and reporters had to add something to make news more juicy.
those workers are some old "workers" who liked pass time, when they got paycheck but didn't work anything, now when Fiat came they force to work and earn your money they want to show how low money they get for work.
Trust me all in Serbia do not support that action, if they think that paycheck is small let go and find other job and let people who want to work.

I just got 500L 7 days ago and I love it. (y)

(sorry for bad english)
It's certainly a whole lot better than my Serbo-Croat!

According to the Chrysler engineer who was the Chief Engineer of the project of modifying the car for the US market the problems were 1 worker marking 1 panel with some initials. Once it hit the Internet all sorts of stories have been dreamt up about legions of disgruntled workers... weird that as everyone who has got the car seems really happy with their vehicle.

Didn't see the internet stuff but the reports in the Italian printed press all stated that it was a case of a single employee doing the damage, but they also carried reports of a generally disgruntled workforce.

Disgruntled or not disgruntled - the 500L's still seem to be arriving in better shape than the stuff coming out of Italy, so my guess is there aren't too many members of staff taking their bad moods out on the cars! :p

There are certainly a lot of them about in Italy.
