General 500xl??

ok we get it some of you don't like it, we all now know your opinion so stfu not only are you pissing off people who like them but also putting new people off joining the forum.

if you prefer the micra looking girls version of the 500 then stay in the 500 section and keep out of 500L section then you wont have to look at them

Since when have you been made a moderator in the 500L section? You seem to go to whatever section you feel like and say what you want but object when others do the same and/or disagree with your veiws. As I understand it everyone is entitled to their veiw and equally on this forum are allowed to expess it.
500L seems to have taken it as a personal insult that people haven't fallen in love with something he obviously has, however that is unfortunate and luckily not everyone has the same taste or we would live in a very boring world. My advice to you (500L) is don't try and convince people to love what you do, it doesn't work and if someone can't see what you see immediately then they never will ;). (I know all about haters, I used to drive a Hyundai Coupe which was never the most popular of cars. I also get a lot of stick over the 500C but I don't care, my little car puts a smile on my face every time I drive it and so I let the haters hate, doesn't affect my life.)
 
I think that the point that dave is trying to make is that really there is no need for all this hate...some people feel the need to comment in each 500L threads how ugly the car is and then feel apropiate to insult other members that like this car:thumbdown:
There is simply no need to do so, i dont like punto mk2b but you dont see me commenting in each thread how ugly i think the car is because i know that someone will be pissed off about it...
There should be no need for moderators either if people respect each other without insults and realize that they dont know it all all the time and the point of the forum is to share our knowledge
There be people out there who will buy a fiat for the first time, chances are is gonna be a 500L and they will join the forum to see just people insulting each other and hating the product itself...is simply ridicolous for the forum itself and some members really need to tune this down a bit
Thats my opinion im not a moderator feel free to slate me and insult me is not a problem for me as it seems the trend on the 500L section:banghead:

OK, we get that you miss being a mod, but those days are over. We've a right to politely express our opinions so if that's alright with you....

there is a line between having a view on some thing and becoming a troll about it. one does not have to be a moderator to point out when people seem to have passed the line a long time age.
anyway moderators have already asked for it to calm down way back at the start of this thread but some have ignored them both in here and continued it in other threads,
there are forums that are for nothing but slagging off any car you don't like to your hearts content. FF isn't one of them forums if all you want to do is hate go find a haters forum.

Like it or loth it if it weren't for the punto Mk2b there wouldn't be a factory to produce the 500L in nor would fiat be allowed to build the 500L in serbia, its also back in production again making it 10 years since they first started making this model, its probably one of fiat's most successful single models of car.
also if it weren't for the 500L the punto wouldn't be back in production.

due to politics and the factory they share the 500L and the Punto Mk2b (classic) need each other to survive

You should have read the second half of the post you quoted of mine. You never offer a solution, just try and perpetuate the argument. As for my opinion on vehicles, we're not in a communist country where thoughts are regulated, you'll never be able to stop me voicing them, all I stated was that I didn't like the shape of the 500L & 500XL and that opinion hasn't changed in fact is shared by others. A car like the 500XL will always split opinion so why make a big deal of it?

And? Im not doubting that whatsoever i just dont like punto mk2b
Any other punto is fine but i think (is not just me) that the mk2b punto is by far the uglyest model of all the punto generations
I rather be seen driving in a fiat duna than any mk2b puntos :p
