My car is at status 30, not in the country yet.. receive a weird message from the dealer today.. I received an email saying that they MUST tax and register it this month to get the deal they offered me and to do that I have to take up 7 days fiat insurance now? WTF

As far as I am concerned they can register it the day before I collect it and tax it for 12 months on the day I collect it..

Registering it early just seems like it means to me that the car is a few weeks old when I get it.. in depreciation terms I guess...

Don't know what they are upto unless there is an April registrations target to meet..

Have asked them in reply to register as late as is practicable and tax on collection day (could be any time in May).
