Hi there, my wife's 500C (2018) developed an intermitted wiper issue recently where they would stop randomly mid stroke. Initially It was possible to 'help' the wipers with a nudge and they would restart, and sometimes it was possible to key-off and on or move the column switch to get them going again, but now they have just stopped at the vertical position and won't work at all.

Any thoughts? Switch? Motor?

Thanks in advance!

Just to confirm this is the front wipers?

I doubt it's the switch, since you can turn the wipers on and off (and if you turn the wipers off, they should park.. a faulty switch would do the same).

It could be the relay (no idea where that is yet, but it'll be a fairly big one).

Or it could be the motor. They use brushes and they live in the scuttle, which can habitally suffer blocked drains and flooding (so the motor has to survive being half immersed).

If your scuttles are clear, then look at the relay. If the scuttles have an inch of water in them (or appear to be slow to drain - clean out the rubber drain bungs) then it's more likely to be the motor.

Thanks all. Been a while checking this out, definitely have 14V to the plug - to White on posn 1 and 2 then to White/Red on Position 3 (and 13V permanently to a smaller White/Grey wire which I guess is a signal wire).
So going with the assumption that it's the motor.
In France so can't take up your offer typecastboy sorry.
