My wife's 2012 1,4 500c Gucci has a leaking from shock absorber that needs replacement. Any suggestion on replacement parts that does not cost a leg and an arm.
Bilstein, Monroe, Sachs?

Any one cnows the price of an original?

They are all in the same price range. I just want something reliable that will pass the technical inspection.

Hi. I went with a set of Bilstein B4 gas shocks for my 2010 Panda 1.1 as they worked out the same price as originals.

The ride is vastly improved over the original oil ones and I intend to replace my 500S’s shocks with the same, as currently the Panda rides smoother than my much younger 500 !

These are what I got for the Panda. Delivered the next day, along with a shock absorber protection kit / dust cover 36819 by Febi Bilstein which was under £15.

I went for Sachs, however after 5 years they make a noise going over speed humps but are otherwise fine.

Depending on whats been changed in the past, when changing the shocks replace the entire front suspension including the lower arms? and consider doing the discs?

Bilstein B4’s on mine and as said above, the ride is far superior. Whilst doing the shocks, do the top mounts too as they have to come out with the shocks.......

Another vote for Bilstein B4. These shocks can tackle rough roads easily.
