Hi! I’ve had my Fiat 500 1.4 sport 2009 since September and after a month or so, engine management lines came on in amber with dashboard alerts saying “hill holder not available/ESP/check engine”. Got checked and diagnostics came back as misfire and that the spark plug needed changing. This was changed and car seemed to run fine again but once reaching a speed of 70mph for 5 mins, the same alerts came up. Again took to check and diagnostics say it’s an issue with the Temperature Control Module. Garage I took to was unsure on this as not fiat specialist either. With this alert on, sometimes takes two tries to start the engine, can hear the fan (I think) in the engine cooling for around 20 seconds after turning off engine and the hot air doesn’t work. Car deffo doesn’t run smoothly anymore either. Only around 65,000 miles and passed last MOT last July.
Bit worried about this being dangerous and stuck at what this means as I can’t see anything about a temperature control module online? Any thoughts are much appreciated!!
