General 500 Roof Rack - any for sale?

Hello all, I am scouting around for a roof rack setup for my 2011 TA lounge. I appreciate there are some mixed views on the appropriateness of the rack on the glass roof, but for the purpose of carrying light-ish but cumbersome loads it would be a useful option to have.

If anyone has a rack they are no longer using please feel free to send me a message or reply here. I'm based near London.

Have you had a look at Micks Garage? They seem to have a few options for the 500 at very good prices compared to Thule etc........

As I dont particularly like the look of the short roof adapter on the Thule racks (my normal go-to) plus both the price and the fact I dont expect to have anything too heavy or valuable going on there, I agree that looks the best option. I went for the aluminium option you linked to, at around £120 all-in.

Will add some images of how it works with the glass roof once received.

Package arrived a day or two ago, have fitted together and taken a couple of images for those who might be trying to figure out how this rack interacts with a glass roof (or cabrio).

Excuse the dirty car, but in summary, seems solid, doesn't go near the glass even with load - pretty confident it'll be fine.

Only real marks dropped are that the instructions are pretty crummy, but with a bit of intuition you can piece it together.

They work fine on the cabrio but one must not try to open the roof while they're fitted as the folding fabric will foul the front mounts! They create a bit of wind noise through the fabric but I only use them occasionally for light duties.
