Could someone please give me an idiots guide to how you extract and setup/ install from the five rar files that comprise the 500 elearn manual.....

Read a number of prior posts but really not clear..., ideally like to install within a virtual cd drive on my win10 laptop and not have to burn to cd. However agin would very much appreciate a step by step guide from someone with better technical skills than myself.

There’s a free bit of software called Unrar. Rars are compressed files split into multi parts normally. You need all parts and then it’s just drag and drop onto an unrar prigram. Google unrar, I’m sure there are many free programs to do it.

step one download all parts of the file for the 500 elar theres 5 parts

makes sure they are all in the same folder

next you need to combine them into one files

id recommend downloading 7zip this can do it as well as opening may other archive files types

once downloaded and installed you should be able to right click on part 1 of the files and on the 7zip section of the right click menu click extract here



this should create a single iso file in the folder where you downloaded the parts from the forum




next right click on the completed iso file and if your running windows 10 you should get a option to mount the file so do that
this will make the file be seen as a cd essenially by your computer

note you will need the iso files "mounted" whenever you want to run elearn after install so make sure to keep the iso file on your computer

There virtual drive software these days so you don't need to make a cd

Or get winrar from win-rar.com

I hate programs that embed themselves into the context menus, winrar can be run as standalone.

7zip allow you to select if you want the righ click shortcuts addiing on install or not

Oddly I've got a hyper-v image of XP and older linux for when software used to be good.

First of all, you must create iso files of any physical media for which you’ll create cd. Then you should open the virtual cs page in the run availability console, and create te cd to open the virtual cs creation wizard. In the wizard you will have the possibility to select a storage with enough space for cd.
