Hi guys thanks in advance! Was wondering whether this looks like it needs a new bumper or not?

Hi

Looks just cosmetic.. :)

The 'hole' looks a regular shape..

(Was thinking you had lost a bung .. or something..?) But the other view looks like a stretch and split..

Performed a 'pirouette'and brushed against something..?

Looks like it is still secure.. do check the reversing sensors still work ;)

What I would do:

Kneel at Left Rear wheel.. tug bumper.. check it is secure :)

Do the same at Right Rear wheel ;)

If all feels similar..

Wait for the warmer days.. give it a good wash.. then polish the rear bumper

Some will polish and brighten

Then decide.. a replacement could be £300

A GB sticker over the hole isnt expensive ;)

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Depends what you're trying to achieve. It could be repaired; the final finish will be down to the skill of the repairer.

New OEM bumpers are expensive, and pattern parts are reputed to not fit particularly well. A secondhand OEM part from a dismantler might be a good compromise; but even if you find one in the correct colour, you'll probably still need to repaint it.

@typecastboy may have something useful to add - he's dealt with similar damage dozens of times.
