Hi all - the EML light and the "triangle" light have come on our 2104 FIAT 500 and my very basic code reader gives me P080A and P1306.

I can't find much consistent info about these codes - various sensors are named including engine oil temp, TPS, MAF and clutch position sensor!

Can anyone give me some help with troubleshooting these, or has anyone correctly diagnosed either of them? It's a low mileage 500 that has been sat for a few weeks, and seems to run fine.

Thanks all, and stay safe !

Any help please? I also downloaded MULTIECUSCAN and (with a working cable) the software is saying FREE VERSION RESTRICTION... but we are only trying to view DTCs ! I contacted the supplier and they are not helpful, which sort-of puts me off paying them money for a licence.
Has anyone used MULTIECUSCAN on a 2014 FIAT 500 and got anything useful from the free version?

Is this on a windows laptop?

Do the F9 test

If it says its ok..
Scan the car for devices.. it should find ABS. Steering. Engine

Let us know..

It is on a laptop - F9 works fine - it connects ok. As soon as we try and scan for error codes it says FREE VERSION RESTRICTION.

Thanks guys - at least I know now, so I will stop trying with the various OBD connectors I have. That set-up is not like any other software I have seen (e.g. FORSCAN) which at least show you something before asking for licence money! Can anyone confirm that this software does actually work on a FIAT 500 after paying the licence? I don't want to pay EUR 50 only for the software to tell me I have a P080A and P1306 with no further details.

There's some free functions of cars but I don't think anything one the 500 is free

You can run in in simulation modeif you want to see what options it does for your car

Also I think you can do a scan on your car to see what ECUs it can detect

Thanks Chris.

Can anyone tell me how to get real, accurate info for P1306 code?
I tried the multiecuscan on simulation mode, and it was no help in telling me what info I would get...

IF it is the actual code

SEARCH it in the 500 section..
Then you can figure out what people have discovered over the years

The 'dead.ends' as well as the actual fixes

There is nothing in there other than my posts. Actually, I am being a bit dumb - "kickdown" refers to auto boxes which this one isn't. So great that FIAT throw me this code on a manual car.
:(

I've tried a combination of different code readers and software, and get the same two error codes every time - P080A and P1306. Someone on another forum said P1306 referred to "Gear position signal not learned". Anyone think it might be worth swapping out the clutch position sensor?
