Technical Instument Cluster fault - MOT question

I have the same fault (albeit on a Ford Ka Mk2 [same car underneith]).

Its due to go into the garage tomorrow for a new cluster but god knows how much that will be.

I'd have gone for one of the other options but;

a) i couldn't find any recon companies with good reviews
or
b) i couldn't find any info saying whether a used cluster will require any coding to the car (other than the proxi realign)

Is anyone able to help on either of these ?

Well I found Essex Recons had 88 good reviews on Google so I'll let you know when mine gets back hopefully on Friday.

My cluster came back from Essex Recons, it works but now the buttons no longer click when pressed. They work but there's no tactile feedback at all and they're sunk further in than before, I suspect a part was left out during re-assembly. Have emailed them as nobody was picking up the phone this afternoon. Had to put the car back together with it this way as it's needed for a long journey tomorrow.

Hope they do the right thing and sort it out for you.

There are a number of people in this thread - myself included - that need to have the same fix done and were hoping it would go smoothly. Mistakes happen and how they resolve them speaks volumes about the business. Poor service from them now would put me off using them.

Thanks for keeping us updated @system11

I'll let you know how it goes. From my side I can't send it away until next week now for another try, my other daily car is stuck in a bodyshop & dealer dispute situation so the Fiat is my only available work car.

Just asking if anyone has found a physical fix for ABS and EML lights dimly lit flashing at same rate as indicators when turnin* right ? I was really hoping it was a simple re flow of solder on specific areas ? Thank you
