Hi, is there any way to find out which type of OEM battery I have fitted to my 2016 Fiat 500? It's the Mopar Exide battery pn: 51980577. There is no indication on the battery itself; I've scanned the bar code but still don't get any indication of type; I can't find the PN on any Mopar site; So I am stuck when it comes to replacing the battery with the same type! I understand that an AGM can replace and EFB battery but not the other way round. I understand an AGM battery is better anyway, so should I just replace it with an AGM to be on the safe side.:slayer:

If your car has stop/start it's most likely EFB, like my 2013. If the car doesn't have stop/start then it'll be a standard lead-acid.

Thanks guys. I'll go with it being EFB then. Why can't they mark the battery properly so there's no doubt what type it is; after all they tell you to replace it with the same type of battery but how are you supposed to do that if you can't tell what type the original one is!

Because your supposed to go to a main dealer and get one from them ofc ?

A close study of the battery labels reveals a clue! It says "Attention - special flooded battery for start/stop vehicles. The clue being "FLOODED", which confirms it's an Enhanced Flooded Battery type, or EFB. Problem solved, thanks everyone.
