From cold you can have 2 or 3 bars on temp gauge and the car feels like it holds back or bogs down. It’s caught my other half out by stalling and not re-starting. She had AA out and they said it’s flooding.
I have everything to do a service inc correct oil and some NGK ilkr9g8 spark plugs even though they were changed last year.
Any other thoughts?
Thanks.

Start it up cold ( no bars on gauge). Driving along as temp starts to rise ( 2 or 3 bars on gauge), you can feel it bog down. If you don’t keep it going when stopping at traffic lights etc, it will stall and not re-start.
When fully up-to temp, there’s no problem.
Cheers.

What age.. our 2013 does this..

I believe its a temp sensor..

Charlie

Hi charlie, it’s a 2015, 105hp. Just ticked over 40,000 miles.
Do you mean a faulty temp sensor so it still thinks it’s cold and puts too much fuel in?
Cheers.

Mapping issue? although NOT the same our 09 1.2 is decidedly unhappy at 30 in 4th or 40 in 5th or 1850 RPM

My punto 85 is perfect.. the panda 85 is poor by compsrison..

But the temp Related surging is odd

Over lockdown.. I went to go to tesco one evening.. @24'c.. ALREADY showing 2bars of temp at MAR

Jumped and phutted for 5 minutes until HOT

This was its 1st run in WEEKS.. so essentially 'started from cold'

Its perfect COLD.. or hot

Ive just not got around to MES diagnosis

Supplying FIAT..Alfa place found nothing..

Car is now 110 miles away..again

It’s been just over a month and i thought i’d update in case it helps anyone else.
It runs as it should now. I did the oil change and it was fine. The spark plugs arrived a couple of days later. Popped them in for good measure.
Is the mes reset necessary after an oil change? I’ve serviced it 3 times and not had it reset yet.

Sorry, i was under the impression the Uniair module needed a reset or re-calibration after an oil change.

So an oil and plug change cured it?
I think its only the diesel which requires a recalibration after service.
