Hi ive just changed me 2016 clocks for the better looking digital speedo .
and had it proxy aligned by a superb member of here .
And heres the but i believe there are a couple of different display options for the 500 clocks (not the arbath ones) and there font is slightly different on the miles per hour part of the display .
Would anyone know how to change this setting i presume its done within multiecuscan as ive looked thru the car menu and cannot find anything

Any help appreiciated

Anyone with a retrofitted tft display or a factory fitted tft able to post pics of their displays ,iam thinking there is 3 types of display mode for the 500 please let me know if its retrofit or oe

1/ 500 sport (white car has red door trim on door open display)
2/ 500 lounge or pop ( white car display has just a black door panel on door open display)
3/ Arbath display

1/ should have rev counter numbers facing to the left like a clock and a bold miles per hour display and a stripped backgroud on main display area

2/ should have rev counter numbers upright and an italic looking miles per hour display

When retrofitted and after proxy alignment there should be some items missing of the menu such as autoclose off/on , drl option

basically just trying to figure out the settings in order to make the retrofitting 100% perfect

Did you try that trick changing the display before you did the proxy? It’s a really tricky thing as you can risk bricking up the speedo if it’s done wrong
Saying that I’ve not worked on a face lift but all I know about them is some of the menu items were moved to the head unit like changing the time ect but I’m guessing you already know this

Its just seems to be the same thing with most of the retro fit some meni is missing afterwards may put the old clocks back in to see if they re appear then read the hex sting again .
the other 1/2 is happy with the display as it is but perosnally id just like it all there .

Debating on buying one of these aswell just to correct my mileage aswell

Personally I wouldn’t bother with that! Anything that starts with “cheap” tends to be crap! Stick with MES it’s official

In terms as missing menu options I’m the same it would niggle the F out of me!
The only time this happened to me was when I tried to put a 2016 TFT into my old 09 500!
I couldn’t change the the time ect as the menu option was missing (on the 2016 head unit) only
So I had to get a 2014 TFT pre facelift

As you have a facelift 500 a 2016 TFT should be plug n play! Have you got the original head unit in the car?

yes original head unit in car

Have you tried the original speedo to see if those missing menus reappear? Check both head unit and original speedo if they re surface you COULD have a faulty TFT speedo or it could be that the just don’t work together!
Unfortunately there is no rhyme or reason and no one who I have spoken to have all the answers

Very frustrating as it’s a lot of work to swap them over I’ve done it numerous times now if you haven’t already invest the 50 euros in MES and a good set of cables they will pay for themselves!
