I’ve just bought some of these wired puddle lights which fit into the bottom of the doors.

They obviously have a live and earth wire but I’m wondering where I should wire it to so it only comes on when the door is open.

What is it when you open the door that makes the interior light come on?

There are switches inside the door catches, they send a signal to the body computer and the body computer controls the interior light

Oh right, so I can’t wire to that then. I guess i will have to try to wire into the overhead light somehow.
