I don't think you will be disappointed.
Recently fitted qh pads and another make of disc and all very good.
 
Second that - reasonable kit although used Pagid a bit recently and their coated discs are really good
 
So I found new QH front brake discs, pads and copper grease for £23.99 delivered using the promo code within the advert(at the top) if anyone needs or will need them in the future, so I bought a set.

That really is a cheap price for the discs AND the pads and well worth just having a spare set ready. The picture shows vented so not sure if a 1.2 is vented but when I asked here on the forum for my 1.4 sport I was given Mintex for the vented discs so bought these at a cost of £39.99 but no pads and again struggling to find a set of pads front and rear. It seems the 1.4S is not as easy to find parts identified albeit loads for the 1.2S.

I finally decided on a full after cat exhaust system I found from Germany with all new hangers and brackets included but is just coated mild steel.

So any helpful links appreciated to a 1.4S full front & rear pads with sensors and might as well change the rear discs too. Surprised at just 40K miles though that they are worn quite deep grooves into the discs. Last MoT only commented with advisory to be aware brake pads were getting low but no problem with discs mentioned.

It isn't.

+1 on the Pagid discs/pads - that corrosion proof coating on the discs means you don't need to degrease them, saving a messy and unpleasant job. Even without the special offers, pads & discs together (for the 1.2) should cost little more than a tank of fuel.

Discs for the 1.2 are so cheap, it's worth routinely replacing at pad change time. Modern brake friction materials mean that discs wear almost as quickly as the pads.

Also, you need to remove the reaction frames to get them properly clean (see this thread for a guide on how to do this) and once you've done that, the extra work needed to replace the discs is minimal.

Some folks have posted that franchised dealers have quoted several hundred pounds for replacing pads & discs on the 1.2 :eek::bang:. It's just about the easiest car on the planet to do a disc and pad change on; there's no excuse for this.

Quinton Hazel back in the '60s and '70s were really big. I think they were the first brand to bring out complete kits (like a 3 piece clutch kit). I remember the blue and white packs (with, sometimes red lettering?) very well. Good, middle of the road, well priced product. You would find them in most factors and parts outlets. I think it was sold off around the 1980's? and may now be a brand name (as are so many of the big names of old which trade on their past reputations). I haven't seen a QH box for years. Didn't even know they were still around.

Did you know there was actually a Sir Quinton Hazel? He's no longer with us either though as far as I know.
