SPRAY AWAY Outside just a plastic cover, just make sure if there not already primed, to use a plastic primer first.

If you do spray them just use the lightest of coats otherwise they may not work, that said if they are already painted........

Eh up Typecastboy

I do a fair bit of spraying, I would rub them down with 800 grit wet a dry, wipe with panel wipe. If you go through to the plastic itself make sure you get some plastic adhesion promoter. It’s fairly cheap, give it a light coat let dry, then a couple of light dust coats with primer. Let dry overnight, then use a really light sand with 1000 grit to flat off, make sure you sand into then gap in the sensor , don’t over wet .

Hit with a base coat colour assume you will get a mix match, if you do check it needs a lacquer, if it does get a decent one and make sure you hit it while the basecoat is still drying, don’t let it completely dry off. If the lacquer finish looks poor, leave it a week or two then flat back with a 3m cutting compound.

It’s worth the effort to get the finish.

Hope this helps mate.

Cheers

Thank you.

Mine got sprayed when I had the bumper & rear quarter re done & mine work fine!
They were already painted when they came

These are already painted but I didn’t know whether they were painted prior to making or afterwards. I didn’t want to mess up the sensor. From what people are saying it should work fine.

My last set of black ones were painted black from factory, not just black plastic but painted black. These are light green but completely the wrong light green.

I think they will be fine just build up a few light coats maybe
I assumed the guys who re sprayed my bumper would mask mine off but they didn’t [emoji23]they sprayed over them but they work fine still
