In my old pop I successfully installed a pioneer apple car play unit .. double din instal .. was a hard job but I managed it all myself and quite successfully!

In my old pop there were no steering controls so never used the connects 2 adapter that came with the kit

I’m confused as to what colour wires in the loom are too the steering wheel controls??

The connects 2 adapter has 2 wires to be connected... does anyone know?

I’m really happy with the blue & me but MAYBE just maybe.... it’s time to move with the times!

It’s not something I’m going to rush as I don’t want to balls anything up!

Any suggestions welcomed plus any pitfalls I’d rather know now [emoji5]

I can tell you on the controls themselves as I have a set out of a wheel but I don’t know if that corresponds to the loom further up if that makes sense.

Yeah I’ve changed a set myself so I wonder if they are the same colour going in to the harness? I’ll need to research first [emoji23] last thing I want to do is bugger it all up!

Thinking about it they probably are not the same as those go from under the airbag into the clock spring which then has a plug from the loom so it’s a gamble. Must be a wiring diagram somewhere.

Yeah need to find that diagram [emoji23] I’ve just pulled out the kit I’ll be using there’s actually 3 wires that go from the connects 2 adapter they are coloured so maybe when I get in the dash to check they will be the same colour.... we shall see!

I’m only wanting to do it as this pioneer thing does the reverse camera plus all the car play stuff & it’s superior to the basic blue & me [emoji23]

Figured it out! Did a test run non install the wires for steering wheel controls are colour coded!
