Its all sorted now, so easy, all that needed was to do a reset of the DLRL, turn on egnition put foot on break peddle and wait 15 seconds and hay presto the lights came on. a friend who is a service engineer at a car dearlership did it.

Method:
Turn Ignition key to MAR
Depress foot brake pedal
Count for 15 seconds
LIGHTS SHOULD NOW BE OK

I've noticed 69 and 20 plate cars have no apparent drls
