Hi, New to the forum. Just bought a cheap 500 sport but it only has the thin key without any buttons or remote fob. The key opens the car and starts it. I know from having a previous 500 that the boot usually opens using the remote fob (which I don't have). Is there any way I can open the boot. Any advice appreciated, thanks.

Didn't realize it had a boot handle. Just found it and luckily there isn't a body in the boot. The forum comes good. ? Don't suppose. you know the cost of a remote fob ? I'm not expecting them to be cheap. Thanks.

Think £200-300 for a new remote genuine key
Note the boot wiring can fail, often the first thing to go is the number plate lights or boot handle stops working

Remote key cost can vary. Worth ringing round within reasonable area. And taking car down with you. I pointed out in email subject vehicle reg (current car at time). They then coded key to one of my previous cars. Needless to say, didn't work and I wasn't amused. Second key was foc as part of buying car though.
