Got my kit & now yet another storm is departing!! Hopefully will get to fit it this week!
I know what to do but I’m unsure what colour the reverse light wire is [emoji854]

Anyone know? typecastboy I know you must know [emoji1320]

Up until 2012 Grey with a green stripe, carefully note the position of sensors on other cars or remove the bumper you don't want to drill a hole and find the reinforcing beam is behind?

If you have 4 sensors getting the spacing can be confusing, use the instructions but DON'T measure the width and divide by 5 though(which gives you even spaces between the sensors and car edge)

Yeah was wondering how I was gonna space them what do you suggest? I was going to measure!
Weather still poop but still hopeful

I’ll be doing mine this week in my convertible and will be filming. Hoping for Tuesday, weather permitting otherwise will have to wait until next weekend.

It’s the second one in, as mentioned, grey and green.

I’m hoping to get it done as I’m impatient [emoji23] but still looking forward to your vid!
Saying that .... weather!!!! Grrrr

It’s actually safer drilling from the rear in case the drill bit dances around. Drill slowly until it bites.

Centre punch where you want to drill first - it helps greatly to ensure you drill in the place you intended. A drill has a tendency to wander unless you start in a recess.

Start with a small diameter drill, and work up to the final size in stages.

Our 500C with factory fitted sensors only has 3 of them. I'll try to get out and get some measurements for you later.

I think all the factory fits only have 3, but only anoraks like me would notice!
Anyway, here are the positions on our 65 plate 500C - it's the facelift model but the rear bumper looks very similar to the older one. All dimemsions in mm to the centre of the sensor.
Middle sensor: 110mm down from the corner at the top of the bumper's vertical face
Outer sensors: 150mm down from the top of the vertical face - it's taller under the rear lamp than in the middle. The outer sensors are each 590mm from the middle sensor.
All 3 sensors are the same height above the ground, approximately 500mm.
Hope this is helpful, good luck.

Apart from avoiding the beam I don’t think it’s too important where you put them apart from the aesthetics.

Well got on and did it!! All installed & not working ? I tapped into the grey with green stripe reverse wire soldered and insulated & still nothing...
Super confused as I seem to have done everything right!
I got as close to the cluster as possible too any ideas?
I got the park mate kit was cheap but should still work eh!

First thing would be to put a meter on it and make sure the feed is live when the car's in reverse (with ignition on of course), then check the earthing point really does earth (not always a given in the age of plastic).

Just read deep down in the listing this kit will NOT work with can bus wiring systems!? But they are being sold as fiat 500 park mate kits!
I’m confused guys

All modern 500's are CANBUS.

They will work with the original 500, produced 1957-1975 (if you can find somewhere to fit the sensors). So they could legitimately be sold as Fiat 500 park mate kits.

Always read the small print before buying anything - and if a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is.
