Evening All!,
i have a 2011 twinair plus. I think the turbo vacuum actuator is worn out as I now have a car thats seriously lacking in oomph. Im guessing/feeling that its like its now just running like a naturally aspirated car, its seriously gutless! Is it an easy enough job to replace the actuator?Straight replacement or is it more complicated than it looks? Ive seen a replacement one on eBay for £59.

Probably silly question, but you didn't accidentally press the eco button?

My mechanic has shown me the issue were the actuator rod has worn out. Ive seen the part on eBay and it looks like a simple swap. Rather than get halfway through it and then find myself floundering I thought I would peoples views/opinions.

Haha, nope but it definitely feels like its eco mode. Ive seen the issue with the actuator rod myself when my mechanic showed me the problem.

This was a service campaign just after I got my TA in 2011. My turbo was changed for free. Maybe yours was too, but it's just worn after 8 or 9 years of use.
