Just got all my stuff sorted on my car ...ahh sit back relax and enjoy.... [emoji23] so this morning i start car & the back window wiper has a dicky!! It flung off the wiper and the metal part scratched my window!! As soon as I set key to mar the bloody thing does what it likes stops in the wrong place too..... so I’ve read prob wiring prob ..motor? Any tips guys? It was working fine before last nights proxy alignment to sort my issue with speedo or is it just a coincidence!? What do I need to look for and where?

you can use your own wire if you're good with a soldering iron takes about 2 hours, I did ours using all red wire I had spare



Thank you just bought one as will need the rubber flexing cover as prob gonna have to cut mine open to get to wires

I’ve soldered the wires behind the rear quarter before when I put a new hatch on and although some of the wires are the same colour they are different thicknesses so it’s easy enough to work out which is which,



Yeah just done a “quick” fix till my part arrives 4 broken wires 2 of which are very thin and not a lot of play due to how short they are!!

I would strongly recommend that you don't use the rear hatch at all until you've fixed this properly. If it were me, I'd stick a piece of tape over both the keyfob and the hatch handle to remind me, but you may have a better memory than I.

Some folks have reported that this wiring fault can permanently damage the airbag ECU, and this is not a cheap fix.
