Hi fiat 500 2016
Frt and rear washers have stopped working, the wipers works OK but no wash. I've changed the motor and checked the fuse I think it is not very clear which one it is I've checked the ones in the glove box, any ideas would be welcome

Fuse 43 is the wipers and pump the body control module controls the pump pull off the connector to the pump and see if there's any power using a small bulb across the contacts have help to assist you does the bulb light?
Try front and rear modes don't use a led indicator.
If it doesn't light it's either the wiring or the BCM or the stalk on the steering wheel?

Has the pipe under the scuttle panel come off? Can you hear the motor or is it the motor itself that’s not working?

Hi the motor is not making any noise at all and I have bought a new one and it is the same. I can hear a clicking in the glove box when I press the switch

I'm a bit confused where fuse 43 is I take it is the glove box I was looking at the 6th slot from the top but the book isn't very clear I will try to test the feed tomorrow thanks for your help

Hi. :)

Checking the obvious..

Any other issues? Worked fine for months..?

Tin top.. not cabrio 500c

The pump should serve both front and rear

Do BOTH wipers work properly.. including intermittent

Worth probing the motors socket for 12v

Could be 5v.. poor connection.. or a lost earth.

Or tailgate wiring.. hence question regarding other gremlins

Lost earth is a tricky one for the pump, the motor polarity supply is reversed for the rear vs front (water via non return valves) so whats earth for the fronts becomes supply when the rear is activated but is still simple to check, I wonder if the wire has internally failed near the plug sometimes due to rough handling as its very near the DRL cable when replacing the bulb, or the inner wing guard cover has gone walkies and the whole area has suffered far more water ingress?

Many thanks for your help the fuse box diagram helped I had one of the fuses in the the wrong slot must have moved it when the motor stopped working, the motor I took off had broken so it was not swapped in vain
Thanks again for your help

So ..

It now all works.. :)

But you implied that the stalkx still operated the wipers.. just failing to power the washer pump.

This answer could help people in the future

?worked fine then just stopped working I fiddled around with the fuses this is when I must have put one back in the wrong slot. I replaced the motor and had it tested and found the motor was faulty. It was just the fact I had put fuse 43 in the slot which scuppered me
Thanks for your help
