Will the car arrive locked or unlocked. How much can you do and do with MES without keys?! Take it nobody needs the car to code the key. Service parts cheap enough and you know people who can do cambelt next year if you keep it. ?

It’s unlocked thankfully. I’ve got a price of £220 for a cut and program of a new remote key.

Sometimes the handbooks are in the car, sometimes not. You sometimes find documents, letters or something that belonged to the previous owner but most of the time if you write to them with an SAE you never hear back.

I’ve just had a call from the locksmith telling me that he has to get a genuine key from Fiat as they have changed the algorithm for the chip?

He said he may be able to cut and program an old spare key which I have just so I can start and lock it.

Regarding multiair engines, it seems the US built Abarths use a turbo version of the multiair engine. But the rest of the world the Abarths are called T-jet engines, all are versions of the Fiat 'FIRE' engine. Can anyone confirm that Euro built Abarths don't use a version of multiair with electro-hydraulic operation of the inlet valves?
 
Update to previous posts (I can't edit them)
The oil also has to be the correct specification, Abarth 10W50 ACEA C3, Multiair 5W40 ACEA C3.
The T-jet engine in the Euro Abarths is DOHC (twin cam), Multiair is single cam shaft with hydraulic actuators to operate the inlet valves. Both use essentially the same engine block.
