Found out to my cost yesterday a difference between these parts in a Twinair and 1.2.

I had to replace a hub on one side due to accident damage. I already had a complete hub from a 2018 car. The design of the hub was slightly different although fits and the discs were bigger. Fiat have presumably upgraded these at some point.

My breaker car on the drive also has those bigger discs even though it’s 2011. So I took one off the other side to fit on the poorly car. Fits fine however the driveshaft just spins. The driveshaft is either a different diameter or has a different spline pattern. Tried putting the old hub into the breaker car and the driveshaft doesn’t fit in the hole. They are clearly different.

Both cars are 2011, the only difference is the breaker is a Twinair. It never dawned on me that driveshafts and hubs would be different.

Now ordered both sides from eBay to start again.

Just a word of warning if you ever come across this and need to buy a new hub or disc.

After much researching and confirmation from the parts supplier we bought discs for my dads Accord Auto( everything states auto's have different discs), well turns out the cars fitted with manual transmission discs on a auto box car, so I know exactly where you are?

I know from some research that the twinair (which I have) has different calipers to the 1.2 not just larger discs. As I snapped the bleed nipple off the passenger front when bleeding the brakes last service, damn thing rusted solid and I didn't even think I was trying to turn it that hard. Anyway been trying to find a cheap descent one on Ebay but they are hard to find.

It also wouldn't surprise me if they had a completely different gearbox to the rest as the 5 speed twinair revs real high at 120kph in 5th.

This the right one?

What side calliper do you need. I can take one off my breaker twin Air and you can have it.

Thanks typecastboy I really appreciate the offer, I'm after the passenger side front caliper but I'm in Ireland and wouldn't be able to pick it up and wouldn't want to inconvenience you in any way.
