I am interested in buying a secondhand Fiat 500 2014 Reg £5,500 11,000miles but the dealer mentioned it is smokey - advice please what could be wrong and is it worth having a look :)

No look elsewhere, there's plenty of choice, did you check the mot history? But really no car should smoke at all these days.

Do not buy a smoking 1.2.

These engines will go for a very long time if looked after. They can burn a little oil but not enough to cause smoking.

This smoking is likely to be caused by an overheat at some time, so either head gasket is leaking, or piston rings have picked up in the bores and so are no longer sealing properly.

There are so many of these around, look further for a better one.
