Technical Wheel ramps for sporty/low versions.

Hi,

I want some service ramps for a Twinair Plus, which is slightly, but significantly lower than most models.

I couldn't use my rusty old steel ramps, as the front wouldn't clear them.

Demon Tweeks sell a pair of race ramps with a 16 degree angle, which they state are suitable for a small sports cars with low clearance, so that should fit the bill.

For a third of the price though, Ebay has some plastic ones with a 17 degree angle.

Has anyone got any experience of service ramps for S models, please?

Or know anyone who has?

Mine are made from solid wood and are years old.

Aye, you can fashion home made jobbies from wooden planks, you can make long run up extensions for existing ramps, look up the "tinternet" lots on there about this subject.

Unfortunately, they'll need to tidy away easily, and keep clean,so I'm looking for some plastic ones.

I did some measuring and a calculation, and it seems they need to be 20 degrees or less.

The best ones look to be made by Race Ramps and sold by Demon Tweeks, but they're not cheap.

Otherwise it looks like a few companies put their mark on a small number of cheaply made designs.

Machine Mart, for example has a set of (17 degree) Laser 7297 ramps at nearly £130, but identical looking ones on Ebay can be had for £45, which I think I'll go for, as each ramp splits into two for storage.

The cheap, hollow ramps either get well reviewed with 5 points, or they've broken and received 0. The Race Ramp ones are solid, and always get 5 points, so it would be tempting to spend the £160, if I needed them more often.

Not much ramp interest on this forum, but I thought I'd share my findings, for anyone else's future reference.
