Hi All,

Had a scared message from my other half this morning “oil pressure light came on!! I parked it and drove with a friend “

Not exactly like that, but generally yes..

It was while decelerating in neutral, cold engine, light apparently came in and stayed on (start stop stopped the engine once the car was stationary) and then it stayed on once restarted..

I checked the oil level, it was 3/4 from the top mark, it has 76,000 km and its running on fiat approved castrol 5w40..

I started it, and it was fine.. revved it.. no oil light...

Anyone have a similar experience?

Also, i might change the sensor as a precaution.. where is it on the engine?

Should i be diving “in” and cleaning that little oil filter in the uniair valve body?

Hi.

When was last oil and filter change ?

Whats your history with the vehicle..?

Still running ok points to acceptable oil pressure .. as injection wasnt effected.

Charlie

Hi Charlie,

I change the oil and filter every 10,000 km or one year whichever comes first..

Last change was about 6,000 km ago.
So, oil isnt really even black yet..

History wise, it was an ex dealer demo car that my gf bought with 10,000 km on the odometer. It now has 76,000 and i have been servicing the last 3 years since its out of all waranties..
