Location of blue&me module on fiat 500

Hi
My blue&me has stopped working and my local fiat dealer have told me it needs a new module. Iíve looked at the posts on this forum in the blue&me section but canít find any mention of where in the car the module is fitted. Iíd like to try cleaning as someone suggested but have no idea where to find it! My fiat 500 is a 62plate pop if that helps!
Many thanks in advance for any advice given.

Itís not but you have to take the rear seats out. The rear panel is held in by a few screws and push pins. Once off the blue and me is held in with pop rivets. You need to drill them out. Easy job. PM me and I can talk you through it.

Re: Location of blue&me module on fiat 500

A replacement Blue&Me module, if bought new, is quite expensive. Given its location on the car, I'd expect it to survive most crashes, so there should be a ready supply of secondhand ones available in the salvage market for a much more reasonable price. I'd also expect the replacement, whether new or secondhand, will need to be proxy aligned, so whoever does the job will need access to the necessary software, which not all independent garages will have.

So if you don't fancy doing it yourself, I'd suggest finding an independent Fiat specialist, who ought to be able to fix this using salvage parts much more cheaply than a franchised dealer.

@typecastboy may be able to advise further - he does stuff like this all the time.

Yes, Iíve taken them out on cars Iíve scrapped. There are loads available on eBay. Itís a straightforward job. Iím just about to leave for work so will update later. I may have some pics too, possibly a video showing it.
Thanks jrkitching thanked for this post
