Hi, have a recurrence of the engine warning light coming on, usually straight after stalling the engine. Fault code links to misfire on cylinders,3 Nd 4. Does anyone have experience of this

Not specifically but most likely coil pack. Worth picking up a used one on eBay for about £20-25 and trying it. Easy to change.

Quite common.
A stall is a physical/mechanical event. The engine stops suddenly, the monitoring electronics registers the engine no longer turning, and of course sees that one or more cylinders did not fire as expected. It cannot monitor the physical cause. so it confuses the ECU.
Normally resets fine after a restart.

When we used the 500s as learner cars, we got this all the time.

The cure is to develop your technique for moving away, and prevent the stalls.
